‘weathering the storm’ Class Covid and Cumbria

Public Commission at Blackwell, the Arts and Crafts House, November 2021 to February 2022

Collection of 16 digital patterns based on the experiences of Cumbrians during the Covid-19 lockdowns, sewn into a washing line of clothes which were left out in the elements for 3 months. At the beginning of the commission digital pattern making was completely new to me and I mastered the skills in Adobe Illustrator in the 4 months between being awarded the commission and it being opened to the public. I also learned and applied using digital garment pattern making software.

As I am aiming to learn about 3D software in order to create Augmented Reality Installations I thought it would be useful to show some physical installations I have created.
